Halloween The Extravaganza

What a fun time of year Halloween is. A time to dress up, party and enjoy ourselves. We don't have to excuse ourselves because we are having a good time, dressing up and letting our hair down. The excuse is Halloween.

Halloween is massive in the U.S.A and has been embraced here in the U.K, children dress up and knock on doors for trick or treat, pumpkins are carved and parties thrown. And all right the society we live in does not make us comfortable letting our children knock on a strangers door, but there are alternatives. And yes the cynics will say it's just a time for ghouls and ghastly behaviour, but don't the few always spoil it for the majority. Of course there are those who do not wish to take part or have their doors knocked on and as always peoples wishes should be respected. But lets be frank, yes Halloween has it's roots firmly set in pagan beliefs, but for most of us we celebrate it for some fun, a reason to have a party, get dressed up and watch children enjoying themselves.

Last year we threw a party in a hall where kids and adults could dress up and I am pleased to report everyone did, which adds to the enjoyment. It's great fun to see straight faced Uncle Arnold wearing an Inflatable Pumpkin Costume. Some people go all out wearing full costumes and others put on a cape, hat and some make-up and still look better than I could even if I had the whole year to prepare. The party was great fun wearing fancy dress really does something to relax the atmosphere, we played games such as bobbing for apples, chatted and ate some food all with a fully decorated hall which look great.

It wasn't expensive either, if you are all friends or family everyone just does a bit to help e.g decorating, bring some food, create a game and help tidy up. The costumes can be as cheap or as extravagant as you wish. I personally enjoy the dressing up part and wore the Jason Voorhees Costume and with so many costumes and accessories on our site we are sure there is something for you. It doesn't just have to be a Halloween Costume people wear all sorts of things, because our party had young children at it there was a strict no scary masks policy, which brought up a few jokes about some peoples faces.

Any way I digress, whatever you do this Halloween we hope you have a good one, a time to come closer with friends and family, a time to party and a time to have fun!
